Hi Ben, I agree the org level event hierarchy is the way to go. I am exited about this outlook. Until then, I need an element to list upcoming events on the home page of our ongoing event. Using the normal Talk item doesn’t really work as an upcoming event usually includes multiple talks. I also need to be able to link to a custom event page. This can be done using an Agenda Item. Feel free to think with me here. An Agenda Item with a relevant label does a decent job for the time being.
Hey Henk. I think for the time being, your best bet would be to create a custom component on the landing page - i.e. text + image + container or something like that.
Would I be able to - create such a component and safe it as a template? - set this component to become invisible after a set date?
Not quite, though you can duplicate components that you add via the page builder if you want to re-use them.
Thanks. I will give it a try. The benefit would be that the design can be optimized. The downside would be the element does not disappear automatically after the event date and it will not be searchable.
HI Henk, Thanks for sharing this. Similar to the last post, I think the best long term solution here is to have us focus on the org level event hierarchy updates we spoke about in the other feature request as this will let you link events in the way you’re trying to do here. i.e. defining an agenda item as a panel discussion is not really what its intended for. If you have any other agenda item types you’d like us to add to the list, please do let us know but for the time being, optimising the agenda item types to cater for the scenario we plan to resolve via org level hierarchies, means its probably not something we’d look to solve in this way - for the time being anyway. Ill mark this as rejected for now, but please do let me know if there are any agenda item types youd like us to add to the list.
