Hi Ben, Im asking for a role to be generated at a per event level but not a speaker or a team member. For example our event today had 6 people that need to approve Q&A from online.they are not speakers for the event, they are just employees of our end client who are nominated to review the questions. I dont want to have to add these people to my team as they are employees of our end client. It would be great to have an option I the event set up to “add Q&A moderator” then add a bunch of user in there like name and email address so when they register for the event , the platform recognises their details and allows them to see all the incoming questions in the broadcast page and allows them to delete chat message etc. This would then save us having to delete them as account team members after the event.
Yep good point… so effectively the ability to promote attendees (if the email matches) to moderators? If so, we’ve just rolled this feature out :) https://heysummit.userjot.com/updates/p/auto-promote-attende… Note that this only applies to the new chat system
Exactly. Thata awesome. Thanks Ben!
Will this feature apply to attendees who have already registered but need to be promoted to moderator during event?
Yes. When chat is loaded it checks if their email is in the moderator list
Thanks Ben
Hi Luke. You can already do that when inviting a team member. We don't have an explicit moderator role because any team member you invite will automatically have the moderator role if they are engaging in the chat or Q&A. Speakers, on the other hand, do not have an inherent moderator role because they are not seen as being part of the event team; they are simply speakers. Are you asking for the ability to have an explicit moderator role when inviting team members, or are you saying that you want to be able to add that permission to a specific speaker, not a team member?
