Thanks for flagging this. We’ve reviewed how calendar invites are handled for both attendees and speakers, and we’ve found a few areas where we can make this clearer and more reliable.
We do already support calendar invites for speakers, but we’re making improvements so organisers can more easily see whether speaker invites have been sent, whether a speaker is missing an email address, and whether any invite failed. We’re also adding an opt-in setting that lets organisers automatically send speaker calendar invites when talk timeslots are assigned or changed, while still keeping this under organiser control so speakers are not contacted unexpectedly.
We’re also tightening up the calendar file generation/delivery itself to make the invites more reliable across calendar clients.
In the meantime, if any speakers are missing their timeslot or say they haven’t received a calendar invite, it’s worth checking that they’re linked to the talk, have an email address attached, and that the calendar invite has been sent/resend from the talk’s speaker calendar invite action.
