Make Testimonial Features More Robust

I have tons of testimonials that I want to keep in archive on the event page and repurpose the event page for the next event. As it appears it can on take about 3 to 4 testimonials and function effectively. I need a way to have the user to either move forward or hover over to slow down, or something like that. Right now after it goes up to 3, it stops and the user has no want of know there are many more testimonials to see as proof of concept. I know this may be an unusual ask but when you have an inaugural event and the feedback came in from many it’s important to show it to potential buyers and sponsors since it is new. Please help me to move this forwards as best as possible. Thanks for your continued support.

Hi Janet, Thanks for the suggestion. We've just rolled this feature out so that the testimonials now have a navigation set of buttons underneath them. Users can scroll through the testimonials left or right. I hope this is what you were asking for. If you're looking for something else or have any questions, just let me know.

Hi Ben, Thanks you sooo much for addressing this quickly. Much appreciated. Question: Is it possible to put the arrows above the testimonials. On desktop, I was looking for the arrows and it took me a while to identify that they were at the bottom. Even putting them in the space of the testimonials might be most ideal. Also, would you consider the arrows being thicker for more visibility for “older eyes” 😊 Thanks for all you do to support the community. God bless

One more thought just ran through my busy brain. Is it possible to have the testimonials still scroll automatically and the option for advance backwards or forward still available? This might mean that the arrows be in the same space as the testimonials instead of above or below. Thanks for your kind consideration. Blessings!

We're just rolling out an update now. It should be ready in about 15 minutes. In the update if you go into the page editor and edit the testimonials block on the landing page, you can now choose to position the navigation buttons above, not below, the testimonial slider. We've also made the icons bolder. With regards to your latest question about having the testimonial still scroll automatically, this is already the way it works. If you don't press the previous or next buttons, the testimonials will scroll automatically. If you do click one of them, it will move to that next one and reset the timer for the auto-scrolling, so it essentially does both.

Hello Ben, I have one more request on the Testimonials, if possible. The open quotation takes on the color of the background and it does not translate well on the site. I it barely visible. I am wondering if it is possible to give us control over changing the color…in my case I would like to use my blue brand color so it could pop. Sorry for the added suggestion but I think everyone could benefit from this. Thanks much.

Hi Janet, Many thanks for the suggestion. In this particular case, the quote mark colour is based on the primary colour that you set in the main theme editor, albeit a lighter version of that. I notice in your event you've set it to a bright yellow, which isn't going to translate very well in these particular cases. This isn't something we'll be able to fix right now, but it is something we'll bear in mind for a future update.
