Due to the way Meetn works (i.e. you choose where to broadcast 'to') its not possible for us to create an integration. However, you can use Meetn with HeySummit simply by broadcasting to Vimeo or YouTube and then selecting Vimeo/YouTube as your integration within HeySummit. Hope this helps.
Meetn allows you to host standalone meetings, which is my primary use. However, the option to broadcast is available. I believe the integration will allow people to host intimate settings and host in-person and/or virtual events. Would you please reconsider?
Hi there, thanks for the comment. The main issue with Meetn is that they define where you can output. It’s not just a case of us building an integration; it’s more a case of them supporting us. That being said, they already let you broadcast to YouTube or Vimeo, which are two providers that we do support. So, in effect, we do indirectly support them, which is why we've had to reject this integration for now. As a longer-term strategy, we are looking at whether we can potentially provide a custom RTMP server, though this might be an additional add-on to existing packages. Again, this is very early-stage planning, so take that with a pinch of salt.
Hi Ben. What would the creators of MEETN need to do to support HeySummit, as you mentioned? I’ll ask if they can do it :) (others reading this (who use MEETN) should consider doing the same :) They’re probably quite open right now due to being in their launch phase and with all the traction they’re getting. I also would love to use the video conferencing part of MEETN in HeySummit (as apparently you can for zoom), not just the livestreaming output. Thank you!
Hey Warren, thanks so much for the follow-up. I’ll reach out to AppSumo now to see if they can put me in touch with the founder of Meetn. I can't promise anything, but if all goes well, we may be able to work something out if we're able to jump on a call together.
I am in contact with the founder of Meetn. They are very open to new features and integrations. Please write if you had a chance to talk with them.
Hi Sergio, I hopped on a call with the founder at Meetn about a month ago. There are a few features they're working on that they'll let us know about when they're ready, which will make it a bit easier for us to do an integration. Right now the integration isn't quite where it needs to be to create the best experience for all concerned, and so this is currently parked. We'll obviously keep an eye on it. When we hear from Meetn about their update, we'll take a view then as to whether it makes sense to do an integration at that stage.
I see they did a lot of upgrades at Meetn. Do you think it can work now Ben?
I would also LOVE this, as I’d like to use MEETN as my go-to for integrating into HeySummit.
