Content > Translation = What ever words you like! I use HeySummit as a membership site. So, I changed all the “Speaker” to the word Member. Now, we have a membership directory! This also allows me to add and see the members who were in attendce for each session and pull up all the sessions that they were a part of! The Problem: The 1st. Friday of each month we host a guest “Speaker”. I can no longer use the word “Speaker”, because I’ve already changed them all to member. I would like to request the ability to add words to Content > Translation. So, that I will be able to use both words. Please & Thank You!

Thanks to those that have commented on this. We have decided to reject this feature request because Speakers should not be repurposed into members - doing so will create a whole load of issues down the line as speakers are very different to members (attendees). Instead, we should aim to adapt how you can modify what attendees do / see etc.

@ben Great idea to extend the attendee capability. I have something similar I want to do and I was thinking of rebranding the Speakers - putting me in a dilemma with what to do when I have a real guest speaker. So how soon can we expect the extension of the attendee capabilities? Thanks! 🙏

Hi Erica, thanks for the feedback. Are you saying that you are essentially using the speakers facility within HeySummit to manage and track individual attendees simply so that you can refer to them as members and also have the original speakers page on the public site appear now to be a 'members' page? If so, this isn’t what i’d recommend. Surely it would be far better to have us extend the attendees capability so that you can have a members directory? - rather than trying to shoehorn attendees into the Speakers area?

👋 Hey Ben, Yes! That's it. I'm using speakers as members. This gives me a members directory and let's me see which members attended which events. Maybe I should have ask for a members directory or at least Brilliant Directory integration? Thanks for your consideration Ben.
