Reorder lessons

When I add a new lesson, it is added above the existing one. I need it below the existing one. However, I can’t seem to find a way to reorder lessons.

I wanted to add a sort of work around I have discovered here. Not ideal, but works for the time being and is better than out of order: create categories and go 1-ten (spell ten or it goes to the top no matter how you do it) and then 11-19 , etc. if you are numbering the lessons. This automatically sets them in order number by category which at least means it’s not a mess attendees need to search around within. You also don’t need to upload in order if you do it this way. One of my current programs is releasing this month and I have separated the lessons into Beginning, Middle, and Finale. I have another separated by week 1, week 2, etc. Throwing this out as a possible solution for anyone who finds this post looking for help too.

Has this been done? I thought I could number the videos to get them in the correct order after I uploaded them out of order (and added as I was creating it) and I am not seeing how I can shift it so they appear correctly. I added 01 and 02 and such and they are simply staying in alphabetical order…

Hi Henk, Thanks for the suggestion. This is actually an interesting point. In most cases, talks are ordered based on date as a typical event will, of course, be date-based. But you're quite right in the case of on-demand based events like courses or on-demand video libraries they often won't have a date. And so in those cases, it's obviously useful to be able to manually order those talks. Long story short, this is something we'll need to look into, and all being well, we'll be able to roll out in the next week or two. I'll update here once it's complete.

Hi @ben - I’m keeping an eye on this one as we’ll soon start building course-like experiences for our audience, so this update will be key for us. Use-case wise - we plan on releasing these with a launch and the talks can be made ‘‘live’’ on specific dates, but then we’ll ‘‘evergreen’’ the content.

Thanks Leah. Appreciate the extra context. Yup, don't worry, this is in our backlog to work on either this week or next week, I would hope. Though, worst case scenario, three weeks.
